Natural Europe team participated in the "Hack4Europe! 2012" event that took place in Leuven and won the "Social inclusion" award! The goal of the event was to show the potentials of the Europeana content and APIs by building applications to showcase the social and business value of open cultural data.

Hack4Europe! is a series of hack days organised by the Europeana Foundation and its partners and provide an exciting environment to explore the potential of open cultural data for social and economic growth in Europe.
Hack4Europe! 2012 road show will include 3 hackathons in 3 different countries organised by Europeana and selected Europeana Awareness partners between 9 May and 21 June. The kick-off of this programme, Hack4Europe! 2012, will be at the Europeana Awareness event "Culture for digital innovation" on 9 May 2012 in Brussels.

NATURAL EUROPE: Use of Natural History and Environmental Cultural Heritage Digital Content for Education
The Summer School will take place at Panormos, Crete, Greece from the 1st to the 6th of July 2012. The host institution is the University of Crete.
