Natural Europe Vision

Place museum visitors in the centre of an exhibition that is both physical & virtual using technology, services and learning content to provide personalized; appealing educational experiences, changing the way museum education is perceived and conducted, worldwide.

Highlights
A workshop using Natural Europe methodology

A vivid experience was provided to the 21 participants of the conference: Environmental Education and the Museum on 15th November. The event was organised by Duna Museum in Esztergom (Hungary). Beyond other presentations, Natural Europe was introduced by Judit Holler (Hungarian Natural History Museum), and during the afternoon workshop participants were asked to develop ideas for exercises or pedagogical programs for 3 different age groups (lower and higher elementary, and secondary school) in 2 different sections of the exhibition.

Hungarian Natural History Museum workshops

Three Natural Europe workshops took place at the Hungarian Natural History Museum during October. The workshops conducted were a museum educators' workshop, a teachers' workshop and schoolvisits from young students.

During the workshop of museum educators, as well as the teachers’ workshop the Pathway Authoring tool has been tested by the participants, while during the school visits the students had the opportunity to use one of the Natural Europe educational pathways.

The impressions of the participants were very positive!

Natural Europe digital resources are available through Europeana

The digital collections of the partners of the Natural Europe are now available through Europeana! 


Natural Europe is creating meaningful educational experiences within the museums through the learning pathways. Pathways are connected with school curriculum and include digital content coming from museums and/or Europeana.

On September 30th several families visited the National Museum of Natural History and Science, in Lisbon, to discover more about the relationship between plants and insects. Portuguese families were invited to visit the Natural Europe online game-based pathway at http://education.natural-europe.eu/mnhn/
