|
The Natural Europe Summer School will take place at Heraklion, Crete, Greece from the 1st to the 6th of July 2012. The host institution will be the University of Crete. The venue will be announced in due course. The course is titled: "NATURAL EUROPE: Use of Natural History and Environmental Cultural Heritage Digital Content for Education", and it is open to science teachers, teacher trainers, museum educators/museum staff and science communicators. The training course aims, at first, to develop the skills of science education teachers and trainers, as well as museum personnel, in using the deployed technologies in modes and settings as diverse as a physical museum visit, a virtual tour and surfing over the web and then, to get familiar with specific issues related to their application to technology-enhanced science education. Moreover, it will introduce attendants to social tagging learning objects, educational metadata and learning objects repositories, together with hands-on experiences on practical approaches and tools that are commonly used to support the learning object paradigm.
