I am a researcher/biodiversity expert

Is Natural History and Biodiversity your research field?

Natural Europe addresses the needs of Natural History Researchers and Biodiversity experts by giving them the chance to:

  • advance their knowledge and understanding in their fields of interest, using the services and tools offered by Natural Europe project
  • learn how to use the Multimedia Authoring Tool to annotate and describe their resources (multimedia objects: images, videos, sounds, and texts or parts of them)
  • facilitate their research and development activities by providing them structured knowledge and material for their area of expertise, access to content from Natural History Museums and useful studies performed by other Professional associations, giving them the opportunity to produce better structured and interconnected scientific works
  • transfer their knowledge through new teaching methods, making use of the project’s Pathway Authoring Tool to design innovative online pathways, using online digital collections and resources
  • facilitate the search and retrieval of digital library objects related to Natural History, Environmental Education, and Biological Sciences and learn how to use their collections to promote the discovery, understanding, responsible use and enjoyment of the natural world
  • learn how to aggregate a) digital collections on Natural History (NH) and Biodiversity topics so as to develop technology enhanced educational activities upon selected items from their cultural heritage and b) learning objects (educational pathways, pathway templates, etc.) that materialize learning activities on Natural History and Biodiversity topics
  • nurture and/or expand their school audience by developing new, innovative activities and engaging students in inquiry-based projects
  • learn how to use the project provided tools and services to promote their work to the public audience, using a more standard, direct and centralized way to publish their content
  • learn how to manage in a better and more efficient way their collections and exhibits, using the project’s annotation tools and services
  • have access to Natural Europe training workshops where they will have the opportunity to be more involved and guided through our methodologies and tools with the help of our experienced tutors
