AdaMerOs is a butterflies monitoring and photography society founded in November 2010.

AdaMerOs is concerned with observing & conserving the nature, monitoring & reporting on butterflies fields and at the same time creating a database of their observations.

Through this database the AdaMerOs community is sharing photos and observations, developing tools and systems and creating public awareness & dissemination on our cultural heritage. 

AdaMerOs is also concerned with identifying species, providing information about them and their geographic distribution to allow the protection of various butterfly populations. AdaMerOs has more than 500 members, photos from more than 84% of the butterfly species in existence covering 96% of the Turkish land. As of the end of 2011 it contains 13.000 photos with 70.000 comments on them along with 60 educational resources on butterflies and 50 monitoring reports.
