Natural Europe has become a Network Member of DigCurV (Digital Curator Vocational Education Europe Project), supporting its actions to establish a curriculum framework for vocational training in digital curation.

DigCurV will address the availability of vocational training for digital curators in the library, archive, museum and cultural heritage sectors needed to develop new skills that are essential for the long-term management of digital collections. To read more about the project, please click here.

Natural Europe follows closely such projects/efforts that are working on the field of training in topics of digital curation and digital collections in general, as it also works closely with the AccessIT Project on topics related to digitizing analog collections and managing their digital counterparts.

More specifically, AccessIT will participate in the Natural Europe Summer School for Curators, to take place in Chania, from May 30th to June 3rd, where selected curators from museums all over Europe will be trained in topics having to do with, digitizing collections, annotating them with metadata and making them available online.
